Z got glasses for school. Turns out she’s a bit nearsighted, so she’s only supposed to wear them to see distant objects (such as her teacher’s writing on the board). But of course, she wants to wear them all the time, because (as she says) “they’re cute!”
I’ve never seen someone so excited to have imperfect vision.

She’s right, they are cute! At least she doesn’t have to deal with that whole not wanting to wear them issue.

i wanted glasses SO much when nick started wearing his! i remember always testing my vision by asking mom if she could read certain signs while we were riding around town. as soon as my vision tested even slightly off…i wanted those glasses!
I think i had them by the time i was ten..and the funny part is…looking back…my glasses looked REALLY dumb on me! we had to ge the “cheap” frames, being a seminary family at the time and all. they were plastic rimed and kinda huge.
by the time i was 12 i was sick of glasses and wanted contacts SO much.
as a homeschooled kid….i really could have waited a little longer to start the glasses, probably.
