Check out Big Truths for Little People from Crossway: http://www.amazon.com/Big-Truths-Little-Kids-Teaching/dp/1581341067

Click the "Look inside link" and check out pages 1-4. It's a good way to dip a families toe (or maybe foot) into the waters of catechizing.

Amen! We just started our 2nd time through with the boys. They love it. I'm going to make it required reading for leadership training at the church from now on. Seriously. It's the best introduction to Biblical theology, Covenant theology and a Christ-centered hermeneutic I've ever encountered.
