So Desiring God (John Piper’s ministry) has been having a book sale since yesterday. Every book in the store for $5.
I got 16 books.
Sixteen.
For $88 after shipping.
Retail value easily at least $250-300.
I don’t know whether to be proud of my frugality or ashamed of my booklust. 
(Sale’s still going on through tonight, by the way. Get in while the gettin’s good.)

Yeah, one of the elders at my church made a post on facebook about it. I bought 4 books, two for my dad and two for myself. $25, $65 value or somesuch. 16 would be a bit much for me since I have another $1500 bill coming up in a week for another summer class, and just made a $3000 credit card payment for this semester.
The site sure is slow today!
I got him Preaching the Cross and the Supremacy of God in Preaching (since he is a pastor) and myself I got A God Entranced Vision of All Things and The Justification of God.
You’re addicted to books. Get help!

wow! – 16 – and I thought I was tipping the scale buying 6. What did you get? I got my 9th copy of Desiring God – I keep giving them away – my 2nd copy of Don’t Waste Your Life – God Is The Gospel – Future Grace – Let The Nations Be Glad – & – When The Darkness.
There probably is sin in such purchasing – I really don’t know – the thought may be a trick of th devil.
Let’s continue to pray for wisdom and probably patience.
