So this new domain and blog has been up and running for about a month now and I’m wondering . . . who are you people? If you’ve been reading regularly, leave a comment. Even if you’re a regular commenter (or I otherwise already know you’re a reader), and even (especially) if you’ve never commented. No better time than the present.
So, tell me about yourselves, folks. Even if I already know you.
Also: upgraded to WP 2.1.3 and I don’t appear to have destroyed anything. Thumbs up.
(By the way, if you’re reading this on LiveJournal or Facebook . . . hop on over to the real deal and comment there.)

Hey Rae, found your site initially while googling info about new MacBook discoloration issues (which have long since been resolved, by the way).
Living in SLC, UT…am super conservative and dig history. Yes, I am a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), so I am usually not in agreement with most of your theological posts (they make for interesting reading nonetheless)…but I think you’re spot on with most of your conservative positions (Pelosi comments, raising boys, etc.)
Love to travel too.
reading via LJ…
I read your entries via lj. I find your posts to be quite interesting, especially those relating to theology. I, myself, am sort of “in the middle” as far as faith goes. I attend a Baptist church, but I’m non-denominational and study Buddhism (once in a while). Let’s see.. what else.. I’m in the Army, married, and stationed with my husband (who is also in the Army) in Germany. It’s an enjoyable time – especially this time of year – to be in Europe, and it’s quite the eye-opening experience. With my spare time, I write for a zine called “Be Not Afraid” (www.benotafraidzine.blogspot.com).
I think that’s about it.
via LJ, which you know.
i read via LJ as well. if you don’t know, which i think you do, i live in winnipeg, canada and am biding my time in retail until i go back to school. i’m not very conservative at all.
but i like reading what you write and it comforts me to know that there are some reasonable conservatives out there, since the only ones we get to hear about up here are the nutjobs.
I read via Live Journal. Read you on Pastor Pat’s friends, found your posts worth reading and friended you. I’m a former Calvary Chapel person, and thanks to Martin Lloyd-Jones, John Piper, and others, am now Reformed. Calvary Chapel views Reformed doctrine as heretical. There are quite a few of us “heretics” here in Chico, and it’s been quite a ride. I’m hoping in the future you may give some insight into your change of position on pedo-baptism. I know, through your posts that you didn’t arrive at it without doing your homework.
I’m subscribed to the feed on raewhitlock.com. I go to Rae’s church here in Columbus.
I’ve got you in my Google Reader as of four days ago when I set up my Google Reader! Before that I sporadically kept up with your blogs when I remembered to check blogs since Thunderbird’s news reading capabilities don’t seem to work so well some times… (For some reason every couple of months or so it stops updating feeds and I have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to them all, so I gave up and got something that works better.)
Reading via LJ.
I did have your old address on my blog list, Still might, actually. But since they’re not different anymore, I may just stick with the LJ stuff.
Especially interested in the pictures of your adorable daughter, since my equally adorable children like to see “that girl”. (As Will puts it.)
God bless,
SARA
I never read your blog. In fact, I think you’re lame.

Sweeeeeet.
I read your blog from my apartment in Columbus, Ohio, near the airport. And when I move I’ll read your blog from my house in Franklin Springs, GA. I know you from church and we used to be in the same small group. Until I jumped ship and joined the Lindens group.
I read from time to time. More so lately. I like you am a calvinist. I attend a small church in nor-cal. I used to be a pastorpat a large church here in town but my belief in the refomed faith there were some people who wanted me to be removed but rather than spliting the church we (my family) left. I now deliever produce, as my tentmaking, and lead a few small bible studies and spend a lot of time with my family. I have 5 daughters of my own and so I say from experience that you have a beautiful daughter. My the Lord continue to bless you and your family!!! Rev 4:11
man, i’m jealous of your readers. You need to send me some traffic, yo.

At least I gave you a link on my blogroll, punk.
punk… and suck…hmmmm
Almost needless to say, I’m thoroughly (hope I spelled that right) enjoying the site. I view several times a day just to look for new views of my beautiful and talented and Christ-centered Granddaughter…still looking for shots with Stripes!
I also really enjoy your commentary. Please keep it up. I think I will get a copy of the book on Danger boys as well…sounds like something I wanted to write – not about you however – bout myself…but God is kind and blessing inspite of.
I just bought the Confessions last week. Its almost as good as the stuff you write.
Tell Amy and the Baby I said hey! Keep them safe. There are a lot of crazies out here – be careful.
Remembering you always in my prayers.
Dad
I just got busted by my Dad using words that were discouraged in our household when I was a kid.
Awesome.
(Don’t worry, Dad . . . that’s as “bad” as it’ll get.
)
I am here as always, got the feed going through netvibes yo!
I don’t visit here and I never read what you write. In fact I’ve never even seen your blog. what is the address?

I found your blog when reading and searching for brothers in Christ who are like me in many ways and unlike me in others. I am enjoying it and will comment more as I get to know you so you can get to know me.
Added your feed to my reader today – hooray!
I read via Google Reader. I met you at the DG conference last fall (along with Mr. Hubbs) and stood next to you while we sang “WE WILL DANCE ON THE STREETS THAT ARE GOLDEN…” For a Presbyterian, you were moving around quite a bit
.
Also, there’s that whole group of weirdos over at rmfo that we both know. And you have no pants on.
I don’t know how to put this, but I’m kind of a big deal. People know me. I’m very important. I have many leather-bound books. My apartment smells of rich mahogany. I’m friends with Rae Whitlock, he comes by … on occasion.
I found Rae on the old Derek Webb board, back when it rocked the house.
Lots of love from the Lone Star State.

Hey,
How is it you have so many readers! Send them our way. I think we might have ohhhhhhh 4. LOL
Hey Rae, I check in on your blog every week or so, I appreciate your insight, enjoy reading your thoughts, and hearing how things are going in your life and at GC…personally, I’m still slowly working toward a PCA plant in Delaware County, and Bethany and I are expecting in September. Happy providence!
