My beautiful daughter transmitted her not-beautiful cold to me earlier this week. After hacking up multiple lungs most of the work week, I stayed home today. Good thing, because today has been the worst by far. Yuck. Hopefully, the combination of Ricola, Theraflu, and Excedrin will deaden the symptoms enough for me to function normally.
Either that, or it’ll put me into a coma, which might be nice as well.
Things at church are going well. We’re experiencing growth, people are coming to believe the Gospel, relationships are being formed and deepened, and goals are being set and met. Officers (elders and deacons) are being trained, and (by God’s grace — gotta throw that in there) we’ll move from “mission church” status to being an actual particular church by the end of the year. All the while, making Jesus look good to our friends and neighbors. I think that this thing is working.
(By the way, I’m among the guys in officer training, so if you pray, pray for my continued diligence in my studies for our upcoming examinations. And my cough. Because I feel like crap.)
