You can? I haven’t figured that out yet. Yeah, in that case, they’re just tags by a different name. I’ll have to go check it out.

Thing is, Google Reader’s “folders” are essentially the same thing as FeedLounge’s “tags”, since you can put feeds in multiple folders (the primary weakness of traditional folders, in my opinion, is that items can only reside in one folder at a time).

So, when I saw that GR’s “folders” were really just tags with an unfortunate name, the deal was sealed.

Ah, FeedLounge. She is like the girl you dated in high school who was so hot but you knew it just wouldn't work out. The tagging scheme is beautiful. (It amuses me that Google, the king of tags when it relates to email, resorts to "folders" in Google Reader.) I made a similar choice a few months ago. I haven't been sorry. Google has done a good job at rolling out improvements over the last few months. I think you'll be happy with your decision.
