Plug-in test

This is a test of Brian Meidell’s Threaded Comments plug-in. If this works, you’ll be able to reply to specific comments and see them in their proper, nested order.

Nifty!

I love this plug-in, but I’ve been having trouble with password protected entries… I need to look into it and dig through the code to figure it out.

Looks good though!

Do commenters get e-mailed when their comment has been replied to?

Not yet . . . there’s another plugin that does that, but I haven’t yet been able to get it to play nicely with this one. Lara (who commented above) seems to have them working together, though, so I’ll pick her brain sooner or later if I can’t figure it out.

I thought the new version of the threaded comments had the email comment notification built in actually…. but maybe you need to install the scripty goddess plug-in on your own, but the threaded comments.php already has the script needed? I’m not sure. It just worked on mine.

In any case, it’s not like LJ were you get emailed when someone replies to your comment… you can just subscribe to the comments in each thread if you want. If someone subscribes, they will get all of the comments sent after they subscribed.

I’m not sure I’m making sense, but it’s late late at night. :)

hope you had a great night.
