Adrian over at, well . . . Adrian’s Blog highlights a blog he bumped into today whose author is nicknamed “The Black Calvinist”. He goes on to point out that there seems to be a dearth of Black Christian bloggers out there . . . something that I never really considered, but agree with now that I think about it. There can’t really only be three of us out there!
I really need to write (quality stuff) here more often, if for no other reason than to bolster the presence of my brothers and sisters in the blogosphere. Yes, the double-meaning is intentional.

Oh, there’s probably more than three of us out here…. but how many black Calvinist bloggers are there ?
In fact, let’s *really* narrow it down. How many black republican Calvinists are there ? That ought to keep technorati and google’s blogsearch movin’ for a while. LOL
Sup Rae!
Rae,
Check out anthony bradley’s blog:
http://anthonybradley.worldmagblog.com/anthonybradley/
At the left you’ll see a list of links called “band of bruthas” That’s a good place to start. Some of them are pretty good and some of them are so-so.
Actually go to “post modern negro” and he has more links that you might be looking for. Only a portion of Anthony Bradley’s links are black christian bloggers.
OK, so what we need is a volunteer. That volunteer will check out these sites, and ideally with the permission of the site authors collect a definitive list of black christian bloggers. The bloggers should be asked if they are happy to be in the list, and it should be explained that membership in the list would lead to inclusion in the Blogdom of God. An automatic blogroll from say blogrolling.com could be started and an aggregator at blogdigger.com which could then be itself aggregated at the B of G.
I am convinced that this work of raising the profile of black christian bloggers could have a massive implication for the good of the christian blogosphere, and even dare I say it the church as a whole.
There is not enough interchange between black and white christians, perhaps the blogosphere could help rectify this.
Makes sense to me. However, instead of just one volunteer, why not 2-3 ? I can give some time to the matter.
Off to enjoy the last 15 mins of lunch I have. A teacher’s work is never done….
Rae, a good buddy of mine, Lew: a black christian blogger. here’s his site…http://www.xanga.com/ohyeahbuddy
Thanks for the site suggestions, guys. I’m checking them out right now.
Adrian, I echo Kerry’s comments . . . I’d be glad to help out w/ the effort, and I’m interested in seeing where raising awareness of black (and other non-white) Christians in the blogosphere will take us.
What’s your end here, though? In Jesus there is no black or white. You’re my brother, Rae—no more, no less.
[And in any regard, you'll run into the same issues with this that the BlogHer folks have run into.]
[[And I'm not asking the question antagonistically ... if you're raising the question to help find voices, well, that's great.]]

Rae,
Reformed Blacks of America may be of some interest to you. We are not blogging yet since we are working on other projects in the Black Reformed community, but it is not too far off though.

Xavier is my friend, and I heartily commend the RBA site to you, Rae. As a matter of fact, I just featured it on my blog last night.
I am black, Christian, and Calvinist-Arminian (Hey, both of ‘em are in the Scripture and I don’t have a problem with paradox
).
Plus, I agree, Ant over at postmodernnegro.blogspot.com is a great place to start. There are actually quite a few Black Christian bloggers out in the blogospere. My three favorites thus far are: Anthony Smith, Rod Garvin, and Maurice Broaddus.
