I think that everyone, and that includes Naral, you, Planned Parenthood, those who are Pro-choice and those who are Pro-life are all just trying to see less young girls getting pregnant, and having to make the decision about abortion or keeping the baby. Some of us think that can be accomplished in different ways. We all know that young boys have a lot of testosterone in them, and sometimes they cannot "just say no", but our society won't allow us to teach them about their bodies and how to satisfy their urges in a solitary way so that when they are out with a girl they have a bit of control. Heaven forbid we should say the word "masterbate" to a teenage boy. No, it's better to go through all this debate and call each other "murderers" and "perverts", and promote more hate. Well I agree with Dr. Ruth. "You must masterbate!!!" And remember the movie "Something about Mary"? "Don't go out with a loaded gun." Same thing... Our society is way too up tight. We need to start talking to our young people in a real way, not in double-talk. They are more informed than we think. We don't have any trouble yelling at each other. How about talking to the teenagers better? Abstinance does not work on a 17 year old boy with a woody. Try it sometime. They are not old enough to reason with their penis. Their brain is not developed enough to have that talk with their hormones. Maybe when they are 37, but not at 17. And girls just want whatever attention they can get at that age. Otherwise they would not be putting on make-up just to go to the corner store for bread and milk. That is why teen pregnacy is so high. If their fathers spent more time with them, and paid more attention to them without molesting them, maybe our daughters would have more self-esteem. Then when some young man showed her more attention than she wanted she would know how to handle him. But unfortunately, in our society loving paternity is sadly lacking all over the place.
